Just as we view life as a complex system of interconnected relationships, Advalife Science views human health within its interactions with society, the environment and ecosystems. What planetary health means
Planetary health is a way of thinking that does not separate human health from the planetary environment — the climate, the air, the water, ecosystems — or from the social arrangements bound up with them. To sustain health and wellbeing over the long term, it takes a broad view of the relationship between people and the natural world.
Our Position
At its core, Advalife Science discovers and develops new drug candidates and connects research, drug discovery and clinical practice. Human health, however, does not rest on medicines and healthcare alone; it interacts with layers of other factors — society, the living environment, ecosystems.
We do not treat planetary health as a new category of medicine or a new line of business. We treat it as an essential perspective — one that guides how we reinvest the knowledge and value generated by drug discovery and healthcare into research, education, healthcare and the environment, and carry it through to the health systems of the future.
