BACKGROUND
Health systems around the world stand at a critical inflection point. Ageing populations, the growing burden of chronic disease, rising healthcare expenditure, workforce shortages, climate-related challenges, and persistent health inequalities are placing unprecedented strain on public healthcare systems. At the same time, many systems remain centred on reactive models of care that are increasingly difficult to sustain.
Addressing these challenges will require a fundamental rethinking of how health systems are designed, financed, and measured. The transition toward more preventive, patient-centred, and innovation-driven models of care will be essential to building healthcare systems that are sustainable, equitable, and resilient for future generations.
OUR SUPPORT FOR THE FORUM
Advalife Science has worked to explore the potential of medicine, science and healthcare technology developed in Japan, and to deliver it to the people who need it. The challenges the world faces, however, cannot be solved by a single therapy or a single technology. Ageing populations, chronic disease, healthcare costs, workforce shortages and environmental pressures have to be understood together — which means connecting domains that are usually kept apart: medicine, science, society and economics.
For this symposium, Advalife Science is named as a principal of the event on the official Nature Partnerships event page, and the programme connects with The Mila at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. We see this as an opportunity to bring the work we have built in Japan into an international setting — Nature's science communication platform and Oxford's academic environment.
The Forum on Art of Medical Science Innovation is part of The Park End Collection, 2026 Edition, an initiative led by The Mila in collaboration with Oxford Saïd Entrepreneurship Centre. Advalife Science is pleased to support the initiative through its involvement in the 2026 Forum.

The 2026 Forum reflects this broader perspective, bringing together researchers, clinicians and other experts to exchange views on the future of sustainable healthcare. OUR ROLE
In supporting this symposium in partnership with Nature Partnerships, our aim is to create a forum where researchers, clinicians and healthcare leaders can come together to exchange perspectives on the future of sustainable healthcare. By bringing discussions on health system reform into dialogue with innovative scientific approaches, we hope to encourage new thinking, collaboration and practical solutions to shared challenges.
An advanced biotechnology born from the discovery and development of new drug candidate compounds at our own research facility.
A new therapeutic concept centred on homeostasis and the restoration of function at the cellular and tissue level.
Building, operating and analysing medical databases — substantiating the effects of digital health and preventive care with objective data.

We have worked to explore the potential of medicine, science and healthcare technology born in Japan, and to deliver it to those who need it. Yet when we consider the challenges the world now faces, the medicine of the years ahead will not rest on a single therapy or a single technology. It is profoundly meaningful to us that, together with Nature Partnerships and within one of the world's leading academic environments at the University of Oxford, we are able to discuss the future of healthcare with leading experts from many countries. From Japan to Oxford, and from Oxford to the world.

SIGNIFICANCE WORLDWIDE
Advalife Science has a strong history of exploring the possibility of new treatments, as well as strong expertise in manufacturing in collaboration with corporate partners. We support a structure that can connect discovery through to manufacturing and clinical practice as one connected system. We believe the discussions between researchers and clinicians at this symposium — on health system reform, preventive care, and regenerative and future medicine — will bring new perspectives to the work done by our group here in Japan.
Engaging with international research networks gives us a foundation on which our medical database analysis and our study findings can, in time, be examined and developed within a wider context of innovative medical research.
